    • good move , only gaybears think it's bad

    • No just cutting fat unnecessary projects alternatively cutting dividends would not be good move.

    • Very interesting. Can you elaborate why this is no good idea from a financial point of view? Clearly I must have missed something obvious here. </IRONY> The only potential indirect effect for the company would be a decrease in market cap. And by the way, "good move" always depends on the point of view. For the share holder (that is you, bagholder) it's certainly not in their interest having dividends getting cut or even entirely dropped. For the company itself it's a totally different story. The more they cut, the more they have at their disposal to invest or pay off debt etc. Here it's all about stock sentiments and indirectly Pats own collection box money (stock options) bound by performance clause why he is hesitating. He knows that cutting the dividend wouldnt really help him with his stock options that are bound by his performance clause.

        • Holly molly.... according to latest data from Canalys, Gartner and IDC, desktop and notebook sales in Q4/2022 collapsed YoY( Q4/22) by 28% down to a level comparable with Q4/2018. Q4 sales were lower than Q3. Sell high before the earnings, and rebuy cheaper afterwards ;)

          • short it then go ahead

          • Dont worry time comes. Shorting 10 days ahead of the earnings report is just too early. Usually the stock keeps growing more or less until report data is available, just to collapse afterwards. Hence the best time is usually max. 1-2 days ahead of it. Retail data is already indicating a weak quarter while Q1 in general is a seasonally weak quarter overall. Consumer demand recovery and Sapphire rapids ramp up is estimated for the end of Q2, meaning we will see no reasonable overall improvement before Q3.

        • TSMC has officially passed Intel in revenue for the first time in its history. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, of course. The 4th quarter was generally great on the leading edge of 5nm, but there was a major sore sport. As we first reported months ago, TSMC is experiencing a tremendous slowdown on 7nm orders due to weakness in PC and smartphonesTSMC guided their Q1 2023 revenue to $16.7B to $17.5B. This is a ~14.2% decline versus Q4 2022. The bad news didn’t stop there, though. Gross margins were also guided to fall from 62.2% in Q4 2022 to 53.5% to 54.5% in Q1 2023. Gross margins are taking a big hit due to lower utilization rates,

          • This is not really good, lowered guidance for Q1. Unfortunately it does not break up the decline literally in segments.

            • Intel's Core Y-series processors for laptops. They are aimed at extremely thin-and-light ultraportable laptops. In recent generations, these chips, such as the Core i7-10510Y, consume just 7 watts of power and generate very little heat, which can eliminate the need for a cooling fan.

Either it's just general blabbering or simply plain wrong information that you are spreading. Sir Donald Trump. Keep up the good lying.
